The Infidels

The Infidels rule the town of Hexwood with an iron fist that drips blood and terror.
Infidels Reign.
That’s what their subjects utter in supplication.
Jonah Keller. The Savage. Their enforcer with an affinity for violence and bloodletting.
Killian Carmichael. The Prince. The flawless golden boy hiding a dark side, wielding his fan club like an army.
Asher Monroe. The Chameleon. A dangerous psychopath and a sadistic puppet master.

Bastian losing it when it comes to Skylar. No sense of boundaries left. 😉

As she passed by, I spoke low so that Caleb, being the interfering bastard he was right now, didn’t overhear, “Better lock your bedroom window, beautiful. Could be a psychopath lurking nearby.”

Her breath hitched and she trembled.

Fucking trembled for me.

It was all I could do to keep the grin from my face as she headed over to Cal.

The way she reacted to me… it was like nothing else.

And it was quickly becoming a need in me to elicit that from her.

Just for starters.

WRECK ME

The Asher Monroe Effect

I’d seen the change in her, that devilish spark in her eyes, especially when she’d locked gazes with Asher.

He brought out something in her.

Something darker, wicked.

And I wanted to see it, I wanted to experience all sides of her.

The one I’d missed—actually, been kept from—the night she’d taken on Jonah.

Because Asher had recognized, before I even had, that I’d started to care for Aurora. Even just a little, which was all it had been at that time, was a lot for me, and he damn well knew it. And that night there’d been a chance that during her encounter with Jonah, she could’ve gotten ripped apart by him. His orders had been to push her. If she hadn’t risen to it and pushed back, it would’ve gone a whole more painful way for her.

But, fortunately, she hadn’t just brought it, she’d given him a run for his money and exceeded even Asher’s expectations.
